2008 autumn winter collection babydoll dress by Christian Dior, crafted in a delicate deep navy blue chiffon silk. It features a pleated silk bodice with thin shoulder straps, a sweetheart neckline and central rose detail. The rear of the dress fastens with a simple hook and eye closure and is concealed by the chiffon fabric of the skirt, which flows out from under the bust in a classic babydoll silhouette. The skirt is made up of three tiers of incredibly soft and high-quality chiffon silk. Each tier is delicately pleated to create a romantic effect, which reaches knee level on our 5ft 4in model. It is fully lined with a matching-coloured silk underskirt.

Made when John Galliano helmed the creative team at Dior with meticulous attention to detail. The dress is in excellent vintage condition and without fault. True to size, this will fit up to a UK 8 or US 4 and is a perfect example of the bold rosette and floral appliqué trends which dominated the runways during the 2000s, complete with a distinct Dior flair.
